New! Lipids Decoded 2019
Learn how to turn complex oils and plant butters into simple skincare that works
with Susan M Parker
The only course that teaches you the science you need to get the results you want from your carrier oils, fixed oils and plant butters.
enroll today to study with Susan M Parker author of Power of the Seed
From week one through week seven, you'll build your skills one step at a time, combining basic chemistry with hands on learning and experiments to help anchor the important stuff.
By the beginning of week three, you'll have mastered the essential chemistry you need to know to work with oils and butters effectively including how to read a fatty acid chart. From here, you'll start learning about oils that have their own, unique to them fatty acid, like pomegranate, castor and calendula seed oil.
Week 3 wraps with a lesson on the healing fraction of oils, or the unsaponifiable portion of the oil.
Week 4 gets juicy with a lesson on butters, those lovely saturated oils. Butters range from oily feeling to dry. "Dry" butters moisturize and protect without leaving your skin feeling oily. Really perfect for hand salves, dog paws and just about everything else.
You'll learn about how you can look at the geographical zones where a oil producing plant grows, and take a pretty educated guess at it's basic fatty acid structure (its a really neat connection).
Is a dry oil the same as a drying oil? You'll learn what makes these two types of oils so very different from each other, how to use both types of oils effectively, and why they aren't in fact interchangeable.
Ever wondered if oils from the same plant family - for example rosehip seed oil and blackberry seed oil - have similar characteristics? Well if you weren't before you are now, and the short answer is yes, more than you might think.
And that's just a few highlights. In seven short weeks, you'll transform how you work with and your relationship to oils and plant butters.
So somewhere between week 3 and week 4 this all "clicked" for me. While I am learning new things from every lesson it all makes sense now. I am easily understanding the chemistry, I am easily understanding unsaponifiables, I understand what makes a whole oil, I understand how to tell based on profile what an oil would be good for.
~Julia Malsch
All true oils have one thing in common, a fatty acid chart that gives you the key to understanding each and every individual oil.
Lipid oils are the true oils made up of predominantly fatty acids with a small unsaponifiable portion where you find the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

These are all the oils you use as carrier oils and base oils, the saturated butters and the exotic highly nutritious oils like the goopy green tamanu oil and the brightly pigmented, antioxidant packed sea buckthorn oil.

"I completed the Lipids Decoded course in 2017. I found this course full of great information and in depth facts about many of the different carrier oils. I also bought the book 'Power of the Seed' which is great!  With the course and book, it has inspired me to buy many carrier oils which I test and mix at home now. I just love them on my skin! I understand the fatty acid profiles and by looking at these can tell what the oil will feel like and how it will penetrate the skin. I just love this information and would one day love to work with the oils I make. I will always remain a part of the Lipids Decoded community! Thanks Susan!"

It's been over a year since I opened registration for Lipids Decoded, and I want to make sure you get a chance to get into the course before we open it up to everyone else.

This spring 2019 opening is only for our community which means you've got to be on the list or in our closed Facebook group Lipid Love to get it.

The next opening date hasn't been set yet but I'm anticipating sometime in the early fall. The thing is, Lipids Decoded has evolved and grown significantly since I first released it and with that the price is going up.

When I open registration up later this year, all new students will register at the full price of $997.

I want to make sure you get your spot locked in before that happens, which is why I'm opening registration for our community this week, and offering you the chance to get Lipids Decoded, and all future editions for $597.

Registration, and this insiders only price is available until Midnight PST on Monday April 1st.

Thanks for being a part of the community! and if you're looking to expand your skills with the oils and butters, Lipids Decoded is the place to do just that.

Finished - I just finished the course, and I want to say thank you soooooo much, Susan. You've put together a stellar course. I read the book a while back and this course just added to the knowledge I obtained from that book. I have really enjoyed the course and will be taking some of your other courses in the future for sure.
